Cinematographer Halayna Hutchins died on October 21 after being shot by actor Alec Baldwin with was believed to be an unloaded firearm. On October 22, 2021 Sante Fe County Sheriff's Office Detective Joel Cano obtained a search warrant for the movie set.

On October 27, 2016 the bodies of Sydney Land and Nehemiah Kauffman were found in their southwest Las Vegas apartment, both shot in the head execution style. Sex-trafficking, allegations of police corruption, negligence, and misconduct surround the case, many of those allegations made by now former Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Melanie Andress-Tobiasson.

Department of Justice attorneys representing US Attorney General Merrick Garland in a federal civil rights lawsuit filed by FBI Las Vegas Division Supervisory Special Agent Karen Veltri stated that a photograph sent to Veltri by FBI Agent Robert Bennett was not a photo of a rainbow-colored sex toy between his legs, that is was a penis shaped candy sucker.

Ep. 63: One month after the October 1, 2017 Las Vegas Massacre during a news interview, Clark County Nevada Sheriff Joe Lombardo who runs the Las Vegas Metro Police said that they didn't want to give gunman Stephen Paddock the opportunity to reload and open fire again. Yet, the police waited over one hour before breaching Paddock's Mandalay Bay Hotel suite.
