In 1995 the Internal Affairs Bureau of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department sustained charges against then LVMPD Police Officer Kevin McMahill for conduct unbecoming an officer, neglect of duty and being untruthful, stemming from a June 1995 incident when McMahill told a woman in his custody to expose her vagina and stood by while another officer forced her to eat crack cocaine. McMahill is 2022 candidate for sheriff of Clark County, Nevada and if elected would be the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in Southern Nevada and the head of the Las Vegas Metro Police.
