Sep 24, 2022. According to police sources, the criminal investigation of former LVMPD officer Rachel Sorkow, was botched. Like I said in the podcast, if the Las Vegas Sun article is correct and Lombardo signed the arrest warrant for Sorkow, then Lombardo needs to explain why that was and also why he stopped the arrest warrants on the other two officers. That said, Lombardo is a documented liar, so why should anything he says be trusted! Six years ago today, on October 27, 2016, Sydney Land, 21, and Nehemiah Kauffman, 20, were both found shot in the head inside their southwest Las Vegas apartment. The double homicide is unsolved to this day. Allegations involving Las Vegas Metro Police corruption, negligence, incompetence and a cover-up have surrounded the criminal investigation of this unsolved double murder. For almost six years Connie Land, Sydney's mother, fought relentlessly to get justice for her daughter up until her death on August 10.
